Frank Lloyd Wright's spiraling ramp is the soul of the Guggenheim — and, for visitors who rely on wheelchairs, one of its quietest barriers. This project reimagines how those visitors move through, and belong in, that space.
Working from architectural research and visitor needs, the team redesigned a wheeled chair and an accompanying wayfinding experience that lets every body experience the continuous, unfolding promenade the building was designed to offer.
