『菌不见』(Jūn Bù Jiàn) is a three-legged pedestrian bridge across Shanghai's Suzhou River. Keeping the existing Xinzha vehicular bridge in place, it adds a parallel crossing whose path is generated by a slime-mould (Physarum) optimal-routing algorithm — linking a new riverside dock with the surrounding arts-and-culture district and separating different kinds of pedestrian flow into distinct strolling experiences.

Three staggered arch ribs, braced by tensioned cables, lean against one another so their individual toppling tendencies cancel out — the structural heart of the design. Escalators and a wheelchair lift weave accessibility into the form, carrying a note of human care into the collision of old and new city fabric.
