SURFACE is a folding bench that lives between two states: a sculptural three-dimensional object and a flat plane. The tension between utility and form drives the whole design.

Built from birch plywood and developed through Rhino modelling and hands-on fabrication, the piece explores how a single material and a clever joint can let furniture fold itself away — sculpture when open, surface when closed.
